Objectives:

Ø Know the new vocabulary

Ø Pronounce new words correctly

Ø Tell the meaning of new words

Ø Use the new words in real life

Ø Use the new words in sentences

Method of teaching: Pair work /group work.

Materials: Colored pictures – computer-CD –marker – board – book- flash cards _ some real objects _ story.

Warm up:

Teacher brings some real objects to class and asks students that “do you like to know the names of these objects in English?” 5’

Presentation:

Greeting with the students and knowing the absents. Looking at their homework. Asking the dialogue and its new words. 5’

Teacher explains the new words through the strategies such as : real object , picture , drawing , illustration , gesture and posture , example , synonym and antonym , definition , translation…

Teacher teaches the new words; orange, apple, ear, egg, glass…by the use of real objects and a marker. She asks the new words in groups by the use of some flash cards. 5’

She teaches the new words; that, these, those, … by the use of Data Project. She committees a game about the new words. 5’

Practice:

Teacher plays a track for showing the correct pronunciation of the new words and asks students to repeat the new words person by person or together and make some sentences by using them. She shows the flash cards of new words to students and asks some questions from students.  5’

Production:

She tells a very short story with new vocabulary and asks students to retell the story correctly. She plays a game with students by asking them to match the words with their pictures on the board.10’

Complimentary activities:

·        Give them a printed short story to find the new words in it at home.

·        Asking them to enter the new words in their handmade dictionaries.

·        Asking a group to find the names of some things in the kitchen.
